One spontaneous night in Copenhagen's meat packing district, I met a young Dane called Christian at bar Jolene. With a few beers, we hit it off and decided to start the musical journey that is 'Retro Kid'.

This EP was a product of my first year in Copenhagen, working with Christian on vocals, exploring the idea of what it means to be both old and young in this vibrant city. I really started getting into sampling, recycling other people's samples to make my own songs. These soundscapes were then layered with Christian's vocals, which lyrically followed both of our experiences.

I think this EP feels like mixture of downtempo, lo-fi club music, fused with electro pop. Not sure the Dane's really got it... But of course they are far too cool.
