Life in Copenhagen continues.

The project expands and I start to collaborate with different vocalists.

Unlike the first EP, 'Neon Colours', follows less of a concept and feels more like a collection of different ideas with time to explore.

I start to invest in the stories of my collaborators and search for a sound that works with their individual voices.

I continue to work with samples, but start to introduce more of my own sounds, with Uhe's Diva synth taking centre stage.

I feel the Electronica goes a little more wonky and to the left on this EP, and I begin to play with the idea of melancholy funk.

The soundscapes feel like 'Neon Colours', which is complimented by the beautiful artwork produced by my friend and animator, Nica Harrison.

Retro Kid is UK-born electronic producer Jake Juba.

Living in Copenhagen’s diverse Nørrebro district, Jake has worked with a range of different vocalists to produce an electronic interpretation of their stories.
